Legacy of Kain is one of the most beloved series in my life. Around the time that we got out first PC, Soul Reaver was already out, I remember spending countless days playing that game, as well as learning about the lore of its universe. There was substantial sentimental value in remaking the soundtracks for the series, so when I discovered that there was a fan-remake under development - I immediately reached out to the project developers in regards to recomposing the soundtrack.

This is a complete recreation of the soundtrack originally composed by Steven Hennifin for the 1996 video game “Blood Omen: Legacy of Kain”. In this project I analyzed the source compositions, restructured, resampled and remixed various musical pieces, as well as completely rewrote the majority of the original orchestra, added new synthesizers and new samples. Guitar recordings are of my own.

Below you can find 14 tracks, upon completion of which I have mixed as one continuous journey throughout the world of Nosgoth. The project focuses on the recreation of Blood Omen: Legacy Of Kain in full 3D.

This project was originally developed by a Russian development team under the name "Blood Omnicide", which after 8 years in development reached a stall, unfortunately further development was discontinued. It was between 2015 and 2017 that I have worked on recreating the original soundtrack, and it was one of the most fundamental moments in my entire career. I have learned so much about video game music, working in a team, making some very good friends along the way.

After "Blood Omnicide" project was discontinued, I was looking for a new home for these tracks, and was delighted to get acquainted with Kevin Mc Aleavy, who took on the challenge of recreating the game using Unreal Engine and just recently released a new demo of the game! Very excited about the future of this project!

Composing of this soundtrack has started back in February 2016 and one half a year later, on July 7th 2017 it was released.
